Submit your site

Make sure your site has been submitted to the most common search engines and directories, but do not be fooled into thinking that getting submitted for a fee to 100s of these things will bring you tons of traffic. There are really now 3 big search engine providers Google, Bing and Yahoo, Aol are still around but a quick look at the search results shows that they are driven from the Google Search Database.

Google

You can submit your site for consideration by Google by browsing to http://www.google.com/addurl/ and following the simple on page instructions

Bing

You can submit your site for consideration by Bing by browsing to http://www.bing.com/webmaster/SubmitSitePage.aspx

Yahoo

You can submit your site for consideration by Yahoo by browsing to http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html there are numerous options on this page, usually the top one is the one you want, most of them however require a registration which is fairly painless and free to do.
